Meal Planning - January 24

I am seriously dragging this morning. It is my personal belief that, sometime during the night, a mac truck ran over my head. So now, here I am, waiting for my tea to cool enough that I don't scald my tongue, waiting for the cable guy to arrive, and working out what I'll be doing on my unexpected morning off. In the meantime, I figured it was a good idea to review the meal plan my dear husband came up with last night for us.

Here's what we'll be eating this week:

Monday

Lunch - School Hot Lunch (I woke up late this morning :-<)

Dinner - Sweet & Sour Chicken and Fried Rice

Tuesday

Lunch - PB&J on Wheat Bread, Grapes, String Cheese

Dinner - Lasagna, Garlic Bread and Salad

Wednesday

Lunch - Leftover Lasagna and Salad

Dinner - Mexican Chicken Soup (premade and frozen)

Thursday

Lunch - Turkey Sandwich, Apple Slices, Yogurt

Dinner - n/a (bowling league night)

Friday

Lunch - Enchiladas (premade and frozen), apple slices

Dinner - Slow Cooker BBQ Chicken (premade and frozen)

I'm excited to get on I'm an Organizing Junkie's Meal Plan Monday post this morning and find some yummy recipes to try on my next freeze-ahead cooking day!

  1. Thanks for visiting my blog. I have planned to make the tomato soup on 3 different occasions, and have yet to do it. I hope today is the day.

  2. Thanks for visiting me this morning. During the last two weeks, my husband has been begging for sweet & sour chicken. Since this is a dish I don't like, I've been putting off making it. I think I'll check out the recipe you link to and make my husband happy, maybe make it next week. Have a wonderful day...I drag most mornings but usually pick up in the afternoon. :)

  5. Hi Emily - had to stop by again to say "Yay" to your comment on hymns. Do you go to a church that sings traditional hymns? If so, I'm jealous - it's all contemporary in this area with the exception of Catholic churches. I agree with you that I like contemp Christian sometimes while driving/working - but not in church. You might try requesting the book thru your library - that's what I did. They didn't have it but did buy it.
